Fans of Coronation Street may be saying goodbye to Summer Spellman and Aaron Sandford, two teenagers who are struggling to conceal their pregnancy.
Viewers have been following Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) decision to keep her unborn child in secret and sell it to Esther (Vanessa Hehir) and Mike Hargrave over the past few weeks (Tom Lorcan). All the while, they demand a sizable £10,000 upfront to support Craig Cheetham’s (Craig Cheetham) father Eric (Aaron’s) inpatient rehabilitation. The couple is, however, forced to lie about how they ate the enormous amount due to his recent release.
Summer had originally intended to have the pregnancy terminated, but she saw a chance to pay Mike and Esther $10,000 in exchange for the baby in order to assist her boyfriend’s father in getting into rehab.
Summer was able to enroll Eric in rehab and cover the cost of his care, as the couple agreed, because they were having trouble getting pregnant.
She and Aaron were forced to lie to his dad on Sunday night’s episode when he questioned them about how they got the money because only a select few people were aware of the pregnancy.

He questioned why they couldn’t tell her dad the truth, worried that his father will relapse, but Summer quickly responded that Esther and Mike would be arrested.
Viewers could see Aaron considering the possibility when the pregnant teen questioned him about being with her, suggesting that a double exit might be in order.
Twitter was used by viewers to express their opinions on Summer’s escape strategy, with many of them calling for her to leave.

However, according to official spoilers, Summer’s life will soon become even more difficult when she has a heartbreaking miscarriage the following week.
Eric relapses and returns to rehab, so it appears that they also need to find more money.
Express.co.uk speculates that the couple left the soap because they kept requesting more money from Esther and Mike to pay for Eric’s rehabilitation.
Billy, who is aware of the couple’s prior offer to Summer, confronts them after growing increasingly concerned about their sudden disappearance and the whereabouts of his daughter.
Will the teen be compelled to return and tell Mike and Esther about the baby’s death and how everything happened to Billy? Will she and Mike keep telling lies to support Eric’s addiction, or not?
