Fans of Coronation Street “work out” ex’s return to wreck havoc on cobblestone couple After a difficult couple of years, Tyrone Dobbs from Coronation Street proposed to his girlfriend Fiz Stape.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall), a beloved character on Coronation Street, and Fiz (Jennie McAlpine), have experienced plenty of drama together. The couple was eager to start planning their special day after Tyrone made the decision to propose. However, viewers of the program are adamant that Tyrone’s ex-girlfriend Alina Pop will return and ruin their happily ever after (Ruxandra Porojnicu).
After speaking with Hope Stape’s (Isabelle Flanagan) counselor during the episode that aired on Wednesday, Tyrone and Fiz sat down for a debriefing.
Fiz said, “I am glad he is keeping an eye on Hope, I hope she has a better day today,” as she sat in Roy’s Rolls.
She stood up to hand Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) their plates, saying, “They must think we’re horrible though, first impressions count and having all that history.”
Tyrone took the plunge and knelt down while Fiz’s back was turned, prompting Fiz to ask: “You alright? Have I dropped anything?
Tyrone said, still crouching on one knee, “Look, you’re right, our history isn’t great, but our future is.
Whatever we conjure up. I don’t have a ring,” he continued, but Shona cut him off and said, “Oh wait! day daydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydaydayday
“Fiz, I have never loved anyone as much as I love you,” Tyrone continued. And even though I am aware that I have made a mistake, I swear to you that I will live only for you from this day forward.
“And I want to say my vows as quickly as I can okay, I don’t want a long engagement or anything like that, so will you do me the honor, as soon as possible of being my spouse”
She responded while giving Fiz a blank stare: “This time there were no horses, to which Tyrone responded, “Third times a charm though? Because I’m making a promise that this is my final request.”
“Yes,” she said with a smile.
Many fans worried that Alina would soon appear, however, given their history and how much drama surrounds the couple.
“Cue Alina with kid at the wedding,” Daisy Duguid tweeted.
@DionPetrie asked: “How long until Alina comes back #Corrie.”
“Cue Alina arriving with Tyrone junior,” tweeted @VampLover27.
“They’ll get married, and then the Alina will return with their child… #Corrie,” Greg Phillips continued.
According to @ConSTANtine, “Alina, who I have a hunch never lost the child, will likely make an appearance in the next few weeks and cause the couple problems. Never do they have it simple.”
@AnniaMays is content: “I REALLY HOPE THAT EVERYTHING GOES WELL FOR THEM AND DOESN’T RUIN IT! PLEASE DON’T GO NEAR ALINA.” (sic)
The audience will recall that Tyrone broke off his nine-year relationship with Fiz in order to be with Alina, and the two soon moved in together.
They later learned that Alina was expecting, but she claimed she had lost the child as a result of Hope setting fire to their apartment.
Alina left Tyrone and returned to Romania after learning that he had kept Hope’s pyromania history from her.
Could Alina expect Tyrone to continue where they left off if she returns to Weatherfield with a child in tow?
