Fans of Coronation Street have expressed concern for Hope Stape as she starts to exhibit traits of her father’s criminal past.
Hope (played by Isabelle Flanagan) of Coronation Street has been shielded from the history of her murderous father John Stape (Graeme Hawley). Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) made every effort to prevent the book from being published, but once it was available in stores, Tyrone made the decision to purchase every copy. Fans were concerned for Hope’s safety after she sold the books Tyrone had hidden to her classmates in tonight’s episode.
Hope surprised Fiz and Tyrone in tonight’s episode by getting ready for school by 8:30 a.m., eager to get her day going.
Tyrone later discovered the books had already been taken as he went to retrieve them from their outhouse.
They call him an evil genius, but you don’t get away with killing as many people as my dad did without having brains, Hope said while holding the book in front of her friends at school.
But he wasn’t able to get away with it, her classmate questioned. prior to Hope intervening: “Police never found him, and he died. Never, at least not for that, did he serve time in jail.”
Is it true that he once taught here, the classmate continued.
Hope proudly acknowledged: “Yeah, there are times when I feel like he is still there, guiding me, looking over my shoulder when I am in the English department.”
The student decided to try and make light of the situation by saying, “Can’t have been a very good teacher, you only got a 3:3 on your last essay.”
Hope responded, “He was a brilliant teacher, it was all he ever wanted to do and he was willing to kill for it,” with a handclap.
The next time we have English, maybe I’ll ask him to give you a lesson.
Fiz entered the pub and confronted Tyrone about the text message he had sent to her thanking her for taking the books.
What’s strange about that, Tyrone remarked? “Oh I was just saying thanks, you have saved me a trip to the tip?”
Fiz expressed his concern and said, “Nothing except I haven’t been anywhere near them?
While Hope was conducting her own book signing at school, a classmate overheard her saying, “To Shiela.
She adores this type of material! At her bungalow, she has an entire shelf devoted to serial killers.
But I bet she doesn’t have one signed by a relative, said Hope. Yes, that will cost five dollars.
She responded, “These are going for £16 in the shops, but with my autograph you will easily get £50 online.” Her classmate was shocked by the price.
After completing her education and keeping her earnings hidden, Fiz enquired, “We want to talk to you about the books.”
Tyrone continued “on your father. They were piled up in the restroom, and I bought a lot of them because I didn’t want anyone in the neighborhood to get a copy.
“I was stupid at the time; my judgment was clouded.”
Hope acknowledged when questioned if she knew what had happened to them: “My bike chain required some oil.
I’m fine now, but when I first saw them, his face was everywhere. I was in shock. I simply had to let go.
“I threw them into a bin down the street after wrapping them in a bin liner. Can we please avoid talking about it? I just didn’t want to think about it and wanted to get it out of my head because it might have been severely upsetting.
Fiz apologized for keeping the books nearby, but as she gave her daughter a tight hug, she smiled menacingly.
Concerned by the child’s behavior, the show’s viewers expressed their worries on Twitter.
Can they hurry up and realize Hope is a psychopath and get her sent somewhere, please? #Corrie, asked Jan Wilkins.
“#corrie Hope is a seriously messed up child,” @ruth clark continued.
“They have made hope a very f****d up little girl #Corrie,” concurred @sarahstoney1984.
But @SkyBlueStacey appreciated: “Admire Hope Stape Amazing character from #Corrie like father like daughter on @itvcorrie!”
Observed by @dav ram “dependable Hope Apples don’t generally fall too far from the tree. #Corrie”
But some viewers believed Hope had inherited the characteristics of a different family member. According to @scrivo35, “After watching Classic Corrie I truly believe that Hope is taking after her Mum not her Dad #Corrie.” (sic)
