Tyrone Dobbs and Daniel Osborne are reportedly set to pop the question to their partners this Christmas.
There’s set to be plenty of romance on the cobbles over the festive season. Coronation Street’s Tyrone (played by Alan Halsall) and Daniel (Rob Mallard) are rumoured to propose to Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
Weatherfield is going to be full of surprises this winter as Coronation Street has confirmed a huge festive storyline which could see two surprise weddings.
Tyrone kicks off the great double wedding storyline by planning a surprise secret ceremony for his longtime partner Fiz, who is blissfully unaware of the mechanics intentions.
However things do not go to plan as Fiz disappears on the big day.
Things go from bad to worse when her car breaks down leaving her stuck and without a signal on her phone.
Will Tyrone be able to pull off his romantic surprise and give Fiz the perfect winter wedding?
The couple got together in 2013 but split briefly when Tyrone fell for the much younger Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu).
Alina fell pregnant with his son but she lost the baby due to fire set by Tyrone’s daughter Hope (Isabel Flanagan).
With Tyrone not mentioning that Hope has a history of pyromania, the couple split shortly after and Alina returned to Romania.
Meanwhile, Fiz had got together with a smitten Phil Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) and the council worker quickly proposed to Fiz.
However, she walked away from the union and reunited with Tyrone but the couple’s romance has been put to the test.
The Weatherfield Gazette are planning to publish a book on Fiz’s first husband and the father of her child, serial killer John Stape.
Speaking on the book serialisation and the effect it could have on Tyrone’s family, actor Alan said: “He doesn’t know how this is going to disrupt their family.
“Tyrone feels like he’s only just settled back in with Fiz and the kids and he doesn’t want anything to ruin this moment so it’s the fear of the unknown and he is scared of what might happen next.”
Meanwhile Daniel looks set to pop the question to his current girlfriend Daisy.
The proposal comes just three years after the death of his wife Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) who died of cervical cancer just months after they welcomed their son Bertie.
Since Daisy’s arrival on the cobbles, the couple has tried to cement their relationship but it hasn’t been a smooth ride.
To prove his love is genuine, the former school teacher wants to propose to the barmaid.
Daniel wants to make the occasion simple but romantic so he pops the question on Christmas day by using a ring from a Christmas cracker.
Will Daisy be impressed with the gesture and accept his proposal?
