Fans of Coronation Street may recall Jackson Hodge, an ex-boyfriend of Faye Windass with whom she had a child while still a teen.
Ellie Leach’s portrayal of Faye has left her feeling torn after a recent blast from the past. She got in touch with Jackson (Rhys Cadman) and asked him if he’d like to see her and Miley. Faye decided she wasn’t ready to be a mother shortly after Miley was born, so Jackson has been raising Miley by himself since 2015. In recent Coronation Street scenes, she declined to see them again. However, her father Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) will soon take matters into his own hands. Will this harm Faye and Craig Tinker’s (Colson Smith) relationship?
Although Faye hasn’t seen her daughter in years, ITV soap opera spoilers suggest that will soon change.
Faye confided in Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) last week about Jackson’s proposal and ultimately made the decision not to see Miley or her ex-boyfriend.
But in yet-to-air ITV soap opera scenes, Tim defies his daughter’s wishes and takes drastic action.
Sally cautions Tim that he is playing a risky game as he welcomes Jackson and Miley into the house as Faye departs for the day with Craig.
All is well up until Savannah Kunyo’s Miley and Miley recognize each other on the street.
Tim’s heart sinks as Craig and Faye arrive in a cab and stop to chat with the young girls.
He warns Faye that she will regret it for the rest of her life if she misses the chance to meet her daughter.
Later, as Tim welcomes Jackson and Miley inside the house, Faye is a nervous wreck.
Years into their relationship, Faye and Craig are still going strong and have overcome many challenges as a couple.
Faye even spent some time in jail after getting mixed up in a revenge attack on the wrong person for sexually assaulting her.
Despite Craig being a police officer and the couple spending a lot of time apart, their relationship has endured.
Faye only recently discovered that, at the age of 20, she was experiencing early menopause.
The two have persevered despite the extra challenge. The couple found it particularly difficult to accept the fact that they will no longer be able to have children together.
However, this might make Faye more eager to try motherhood again with Miley.
Craig would probably support her decision, but the child might spend a lot of time with Jackson once more as she gets to know them both and integrates into her daughter’s life.
Even though she initially turned down the offer, she might reconsider after seeing the couple with Tim.
Could her and Jackson’s reconciliation cause problems for Craig though?
Even though the couple has experienced a lot together, Faye’s acquaintance with her estranged daughter is certain to reopen some old wounds.
Will she leave Craig for her ex-boyfriend Jackson if she discovers they still have a spark?
