Tyrone plans a surprise wedding for Fiz
Tyrone decides the time is right to make things official now that he’s back among the family. Ty proposed to Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) a number of Christmases ago. Due to Ty’s infidelity and the nonstop soap opera drama, they never made it to the wedding. Instead of a protracted engagement this time, he wants to give Fiz a memorable Christmas.
Here comes the surprise wedding that Tyrone plans to happen on Christmas Day. He appears to have thought of everything, including the dress, the location, and the celebration. Tyrone also shares the information with his daughters Hope (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby (Macy Alabi). Fiz, however, feels like the celebrations will be a washout because of Ty’s generous gesture, and just as he and the girls are about to spring the surprise, Fiz has vanished!
Will the bride return in time to say “I do” or has Tyrone’s romantic fantasy failed?
Disaster proposal for Daniel?
Daniel is also in the holiday spirit this month and hopes to commit to his girlfriend Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan). Daniel prepares a romantic proposal after securing the approval of Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and gaining the support of dad Ken Barlow (William Roache).
But what will Daniel do when a break-in at the Barlows’ results in the theft of the engagement ring? Is his plan doomed, or can he turn things around and secure Daisy as his future spouse?

How long will it be after all of this before Stephen thinks about killing again? Who might he target as his next target? Could Teddy be a potential target for Stephen? Should Gabrielle be keeping an eye on her back, or could someone else completely rumble Stephen and cause Stephen to kill someone we wouldn’t expect?
Danger for Max
Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and stepdad David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) are still at odds, and Max feels more and more alienated from his family. Being left in the cold causes Max to become more involved in his new friendships, which aren’t what they seem and put the troubled teen in danger.
What could the cunning gang have in store for Max as their deceptions increase, given that the extremist Griff (Michael Condron) has already had an impact on him?
Nick is blackmailed by killer Harvey
Nick is being threatened with blackmail after accepting money from Harvey, the man who killed his son Sam Blakeman’s (Jude Riordan) mother. Nick discovers quickly that there are significant conditions to the offer, despite initially thinking it was made out of guilt, and the plot of the novel parallels Damon’s introduction.
Can Nick keep his secret from Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) as the pressure mounts, or could this situation permanently end their relationship? Will Nick go too far, and can Harvey be stopped?
Summer’s dilemma
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), who was considering giving the baby to Mike and Esther in exchange for a sizable sum of money, had to deal with her own uncertainties about her unborn child as well as her diabetes.
But later, Summer miscarries, and her plans go awry. Will Summer confide in her loved ones, who are worried about her? Summer may come to regret her decisions, but can she go back in time?
Will any of the locals have a happy Christmas?
Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), despite Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) best efforts to sabotage their relationship, will be hoping to restart his romance with Laurence. Is Todd about to do what he did in the past and split up this couple?
After giving Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) a coffin, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) hopes to make up for last year’s epic failure. Can Sally Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor) gift for husband Tim (Joe Duttine) bring their home back to peace and harmony?
