Paul Foreman of Coronation Street has kept his diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease and his most recent arrest from his family, but everything could soon come tumbling down.
Paul Foreman, portrayed by Peter Ash, on Coronation Street has been frantically trying to make quick money in order to support his family.
His worries about motor neurone disease advancing slowly and leaving his loved ones and boyfriend Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) in a financial mess are growing.
In an effort to assist, Paul asked Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) for assistance and was given the mission of robbing Rufus Donahue’s (Steve Meo), Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce), most recent victim, of his car.
His hand started to act up while he was driving, which resulted in him swerving in the road and being stopped by the police.
Eventually, Paul was taken to the police station where he was charged and in need of a lawyer. Dee-Dee Bailey (Shannique Sterling-Brown) was his friend.
Paul is devastated to learn in upcoming scenes that his sentencing hearing is the day before Gemma Winter’s (Dolly-Rose Campbell) wedding.
Will he end up serving more time in prison as a result of missing her special day if he has to appear in court?
Later, Gemma calls the factory and delivers a wedding dress she found in a charity shop to Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston).
Gemma asks if she can make her big day into something more than it is because she wants to feel special on it.
When discussing their wedding guest list, Gemma suggests that they invite Linda Armstrong (Jaqueline Leonard) to the wedding, and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) concurs.
If Paul is also unable to attend, will she make things more difficult on the day of their wedding?
Joseph, the young son of Chesney Brown (William Flanagan), is Linda’s grandchild, and she visited them last year to see how they were doing.
She made a commitment to stay and help out after she exposed Chesney’s deception but was quickly expelled from their house.
When Linda was ready to take action, she slyly suggested that Joseph move in with her in Portugal, which infuriated Chesney and caused him to eject her.
He refused to accept Linda’s previous offer of assistance and made it clear that she should keep away from them and Joseph.
If Linda is able to attend, will she have anything to say about their modest wedding?
