Fans of Chicago PD have been eagerly awaiting the release of season 10 and any answers it may have to the season’s many unanswered questions ever since season 9 of the show ended in late May.

Chicago PD season 10 release date
As confirmed by NBC, the new season of Chicago PD will kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c! The season 10 premiere will once again cap off the night for One Chicago Wednesdays leading out of the Chicago Med season 8 and Chicago Fire season 11 premieres.

The new season of Chicago PD will begin at 10/9c on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022! The late September release date is on pace with when we’ve traditionally seen new seasons of the One Chicago series begin.
Chicago PD season 10 cast
Heading into season 10, fans can expect all of their favorite Chicago PD cast members back — at least for the start of the season. We say this because it has been announced that original cast member Jesse Lee Soffer will be departing the show sometime this fall. Additionally, it has been announced that Benjamin Levy Aguilar will be joining the show in a series regular role, reprising his role as patrol officer Dante Torres.

Chicago PD season 10 premiere synopsis
As expected, when the new season begins Voight will be reeling from the death of Anna. However, it seems he won’t have a lot of time to process her death as a new threat emerges as well as a new chief.
Still reeling from the death of his informant Anna, Voight faces a new threat as he tries to keep the neighborhood clean. New wrinkles develop in the Upton, Halstead and Voight dynamic. The team gets a new chief.
