They believe Jack could face some very serious repercussions from last night’s episode.
After assaulting Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), the 14-year-old boyfriend of Jack Branning’s daughter Amy (Ellie Dadd), and accusing him of sleeping with her, EastEnders viewers are predicting dire consequences for Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
After seeing the young couple kissing and accusing Denzel of having slept with Amy, police Detective Inspector Jack stormed into Amy’s room on Monday night and pinned him to the wall. In actuality, Denzel had just persuaded Amy that they should proceed cautiously, exposing Jack’s excessive vigilance and infuriating some viewers.
Jack’s wife Denise and her sister Kim, as well as Denzel and his father Howie, who ran upstairs and caught Jack touching the boy, were all outraged. Later even saying to Jack: “Using force against a 14-year-old boy? No, it’s you who’s violated the law. You must apologize to Denzel and Howie.”
Following Jack’s outburst, a number of fans made predictions about what would occur. A few were certain that Jack would lose his job as a police officer as a result of the incident, one writing: “Kim is right. The person breaking the law and going too far is Jack.
“Jack might be fired for assaulting a 14-year-old boy. This, in my opinion, is Lilly’s fault for giving Amy the thought in the first place. Denzel wished to sluggish the pace of “EastEnders.”
Another concurring: “Kim is the one who will expose Jack. She lashed out at him. She’s correct. Denzel shouldn’t have been grabbed by Jack in that manner. Although I understand his outrage over his mini-Roxy Amy wanting to have sex, hurting Denzel won’t solve the problem. #EastEnders.”
Yet another, who shared the same viewpoint, wrote: “For me, it’s a big NO NO that Jack would put his job in jeopardy by “assaulting a child.” Jack should know better because he is a police officer and a good parent.”
