Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) mother Gail Rodwell’s (Helen Worth) worries are rekindled, and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) thinks a curse is in effect. ..
1. Is Toyah a killer?
Toyah delivers a moving eulogy at Imran’s funeral. Imran’s friends Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) aren’t persuaded by her explanation that she wishes Imran had survived the crash rather than her. Later, Toyah is warned by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) about an accusation made by Adam and is informed that Peter has been questioned regarding her scheme involving Eva’s daughter Susie.
Toyah claims she never intended to kill her husband or herself as she enters the police station to speak with DS Swain. But is Toyah telling the truth, and will she go to prison? Her sister Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is desperate to help her.
Will Abi be reunited with Alfie?
The next hearing has already been scheduled, and Abi and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) learn that she must reapply for custody of her infant boy starting next week. Abi complains to a nearby woman in the waiting room about the legal system as a result of her frustrations. The young child finds it difficult to process this shocking news, but manages to wish Abi and his father luck at the custody hearing. Will Jack tell Kevin what he knows or keep it to himself? It’s undoubtedly not the best method for learning your origin story. Sadly, Jack!

Trouble for Fiz

Phill accepts her ex Tyrone’s invitation to stay with him, stating that it will be for the best. There’s the issue of the upcoming nuptials amid all that drama, which sounds stressful enough on its own.

Gail worries for Audrey

Shona informs the woman that Gail has hidden the wine as she is discovered looking through the cabinets for it. Does Audrey have a drinking issue? And will Gail be able to convince her or will she just end up alienating her mother even more?
Are the Platts haunted?
The terse response to this complex query is undoubtedly yes. Remember Max’s evil biological father Callum Logan? This is the family whose deceased member was once discovered buried beneath the floor. and even before that, they were taken hostage by Richard Hillman, a serial killer who was married to Gail’s innocent husband. The clan hasn’t had it easy, not even when they were free of evil influences!
The following week, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) uses crystals and incense candles to help Shona relax. When Gail picks up an ornament that she brought back from Thailand, Bernie says they should get rid of it because it is the source of the bad energy in the house. David is dubious, but Shona supports Bernie. What will Gail do? Furthermore, are the Platts truly cursed? Most likely, but I doubt that has anything to do with a memento more than the Soap Gods!
