The drama never stops in Walford, and when Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) suffers an accident, the only person there to help her is her love rival Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). In the meantime, Janine’s fiancé Mick (Danny Dyer) is still thinking about his ex. Is he sure what his future holds?
Does young Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) know the full extent of what is going on with her ill mother Lola (Danielle Harold)? Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) worries his friends, while Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) sets out to watch out for Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) with unexpected results.

Janine has an accident
Linda unintentionally gets left alone to run The Vic as Janine and Mick leave for the hospital for their first prenatal scan. When Mick and Janine return, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) steps in to assist her, but Linda is caught off guard to learn where they’ve been together. Linda storms off to meet with her Community Payback Officer while Janine enjoys making fun of her pregnancy.
Janine leaves alone as well, but she ends up tripping and falling at the tube station. Linda notices Janine and the paramedics, but the two are unable to reach a busy Mick who has lost his phone. Linda skips an important appointment to be by Janine’s side at the hospital, despite their differences. Will Janine and her child be all right?
Mick’s future with Janine is at risk
Although Sharon cautions Mick to be sensitive around Linda regarding his relationship with Janine, Mick continues to be unaware of Janine’s accident. After they miss their appointment, Linda’s CPO Murray shows up at the bar looking for her, and Shirley (Linda Henry) later discovers Mick’s phone. When he realizes what happened to Janine, his stomach turns, but afterward, Janine notices him speaking to Linda.
Mick is questioned by Janine about where he is and she adds that she saw him with Linda. Mick tries to defend himself, but he soon has his feet pulled out from under him. What’s Janine going to do? Will the relationship end? We are all aware of Mick’s undying love for his soulmate Linda, but what will become of the trio now that both he and Janine will be leaving?
Lexi finds out Lola is lying about her illness
Lola continues to keep Lexi in the dark about her prognosis even on the day of her first radiotherapy appointment. Perry Fenwick’s character, Billy Mitchell, struggles to maintain his composure for Lola, and when Bobby Brazier’s character, Freddie Slater, notices Billy losing it, Billy is compelled to reveal that Lola has a brain tumor. Billy takes Lola to her appointment with the encouragement of Freddie, but Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is concerned about not telling Lexi about her mother’s condition.
Lola is persuaded to tell Lexi that she still has cancer by Billy, Ben, and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), but she snaps and storms off. Knowing their daughter will notice, Ben follows her and coerces her into telling Lexi. Lexi picks up a letter that arrives for her mother and reads it as she later overhears Lola talking, her suspicions growing.
Lexi confronts Lola, Ben, and Jay in the park after Lola learns that Lexi failed to show up for school. Lola then comes clean by telling the truth. But just how much does she divulge? Will she discuss how the cancer is terminal? As Lola attempts to console her daughter, Janine in The Vic makes snide remarks about her parenting, to which Lola responds by defending herself. Will she eventually reveal her struggles to everyone?
Eve plots to befriend Nish
Eve reaches out to Suki when she and her husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) arrive back in the Square. Later, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) encounters Suki and Nish in a tense situation and confides in Eve her own worries. Eve becomes determined to be the one to provide assistance when Stacey questions whether Suki needs it.
By offering Nish a business opportunity, Eve worms her way into their relationship. But what is she really up to? Eve informs Nish that his lawyer has been swindling him for years as he orders son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) to take charge of running the call center. It appears that Eve wants to come across as helpful to Nish, but why?
Is Harvey being taken for a ride?
When Harvey doesn’t show up for pre-football drinks, Rocky and Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) start to worry about him and go in search of him. They enter Harvey’s apartment with Stacey’s assistance and are startled to see a confused Harvey surrounded by chaos. Harvey downplays it and admits that he has been in love with Sophia ever since he reconnected with her through the dating app.
Harvey might be being “catfished,” according to Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), who makes the suggestion after overhearing Rocky talking about Harvey’s obsession with Sophia. Rocky looks into it, but Harvey is adamant that the woman in his life is the real deal even though they’ve only ever communicated via text. Will Harvey suffer harm, though, or could Alfie be right?
Rocky makes a confession
Rocky’s failure to assist Kathy when she is rushed off her feet and instead shows more concern for Harvey irritates Kathy. Realizing his error, Rocky asks Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and Freddie for assistance in deep-frying some cupcakes that Kathy is having trouble selling. Rocky’s plan fails, though, and Bobby offers some new information about Kathy that prompts Rocky to rethink his strategy.
Whatever Rocky does next causes him to confess to Mitch in a startling way. What, though, is his secret? Could playing the father figure to Natalie Cassidy’s Sonia Fowler be any weirder? Keep checking back!
