Despite the recent devastating storm that shook Emmerdale, the village will experience more drama in the coming week as one resident flees and another is shot.
Jeff Hordley’s character Cain Dingle learns that Lucy Pargeter’s character Chas has continued to have an affair with Al Chapman from Emmerdale (Matthew Wildman). He takes matters into his own hands because he wants Al gone from the lives of the Dingle family forever. In another scene, Claire King’s Kim Tate and Dean Andrews’ Will Taylor work together to try to prevent Dawn (Olivia Bromley) from becoming homeless, but their efforts may land them in serious trouble. Everything you need to know about this week’s drama is available on thesuns.info.
Cain Dingle holds Al Chapman at gun point
As Cain presses her about her fallout with her son Aaron Dingle, Chas maintains her composure (Danny Miller).
But when he later finds her burner phone, he finds a series of messages from an unidentified caller that reveal an affair.
When Cain dials the number, he is incensed to learn that Al is the person Chas has been having an affair with.
He sets a trap using the phone while furious, and Al leaves to meet Chas.
Al doesn’t realize Cain is waiting for him, so when he shows up, the villager pulls a gun on Al.
When Chas learns Cain has learned about her affair, she fears the worst.
Al is being held at gunpoint by Cain, who is utterly disgusted by Chas’ relationship with Al.
Cool Al begins to walk away as Cain reveals that the gun was only there to get his attention and gets ready to fight.
They both try to reach the shotgun that is nearby when their gazes meet. Who shot who is not immediately clear as a shotgun blast occurs.
Will and Kim collaborate to kidnap
Billy and Dawn are terrified of losing their home if the money from Harriet’s (Katherine Dow Blyton) will isn’t enough to keep them there.
Until Alex threatens to take Clemmie away if he doesn’t get his hands on Harriet’s money, the couple has a plan to buy Woodbine for themselves.
Dawn is concerned about Alex’s threats the following day as everyone departs for Harriet’s funeral, but her family has vowed to defend her.
She hopes that when she promises Clemmie that their family will remain intact, she hasn’t lied.
While this is happening, Alex is unconcerned when Will grabs him and orders him to leave Dawn alone. Alex is put into their car boot as Kim entices him to her car with the promise of the money he seeks.
Kim and Will bargain for a lower payoff after having Alex restrained in the Home Farm stables. Fearful Alex is left to mull over the choice as they depart.
Will tries to tell Billy about Alex at The Hide, but Kim intervenes to stop him. Billy is urged by Kim and Will not to act violently toward Alex.
Kim makes a promise to protect her family while keeping the hostage situation a secret. Kim is impressed by Will’s bravado as he gets ready to beat Alex when he is enraged.
Will calms down after pummeling a bloodied Alex. But since Alex insisted on his demands, Kim and Will, who were united and powerful, abandoned him to suffer over night.

Aaron won’t stay in the village after learning of his mother’s affair with Al.
Aaron abruptly ends any chance of the two of them having a future when Chas refuses to confess the affair.
